Extracting Custom Text from Subject

Hi All,

I have a requirement in PA. I need to extract custom text from the email subject.

Subject : AWS Integration | 2024-01-11|PROD | SUCCESS | Backtesting Run Started .

Output : Backtesting Run Started 

Subject: MDAS Integration | 2024-01-11 | HOUSTON | PROD | SUCCESS | Adjustment GARM Load Completed

Output: HOUSTON | Adjustment GARM Load Completed

Subject: MDAS Integration | 2024-01-11 | Singapore | PROD | SUCCESS | Adjustment Var Started

Output: Singapore | Adjustment Var Started

My flow

 equals(length(split(variables('Subject'),'|')),6),
 concat(split(variables('Subject'),'|')[2],'|',split(variables('Subject'),'|')[5]),

Will this work with my flow as well? I am fetching this directly from the trigger when I receive a new email. I hope it does will test this for now.

Why your first example doesn't contain the city but  other examples do?

Is this normal?

Yes, I have 5 scenarios like this. Where I have City/country for 3 emails coming in and for another 4-5 emails the subject is similar but I don't have any city/country. So I need to grab city/country name from the subject if it's not there I can use 'NA' or I can only use the job name fetching from the end. Sharing the list below.

I have tried this by using Format data by examples and in testing it works, but when my flow runs it's picking up some random value.

I have achieved this separately by using an action "Compose" and adding the below expressions

This returns the Region for me.

And this returns the Job type for me.
