Failed to validate the signature of the actionable message card

Has anyone figured out this error yet?

 

Flow has been working fine but suddenly got this error. No changes were made to the flow.

@menaka1997 Microsoft solved it?  When? Even though we are still getting errors today 01/04/2023.

Are you seeing it appear on any specific versions of Outlook?  It seems to be the clients running Office 2019 that mainly have this issue here.  They either give the Failed to validate... error or one that just says 'an error has occurred please try again later' when you try and approve.

These all worked fine up until last week.

Yes @nplews , the error mainly appears on 2019 clients. We are updating those clients now and will check if the error will continue to show up. We already had similar issues like this in the past with approvals and old outlook clients, there is properly a good chance that the update fixes the issue. 

Will come backe later to report.

@LimeLeaf we don't seem to be seeing it on Outlook 365 clients in the testing we have done (but we only have a few clients running that at the moment).  I have a ticket raised with PowerAutomate support, I'll update if they get back to us.

I am checking with the user which Outlook she is using.

I have Office 365 and have been getting this error for a week now!  What's the fix?

@shumatek in the original response to my MS support request I was told they consider this fixed, I have gone back to them to explain that there are clearly multiple users still having the issue.

As of 1/5/23 9:25 eastern time, I have this issue on Office 365 and have for about a week now.

Same here!  I hope a solution comes soon.... I rely on this function daily to manage my follow up emails!

Updating the affected clients to O365 Version 2210 (Build 15726.20262) solved the problem for our clients. @nplews 

All affected clients on our side had a relatively old O365 Version 1906.

As of this morning, I am still getting the error message.  What was/is the fix?  What do I need to do?

@shumatek Try updating the affected clients to O365 Version 2210 (Build 15726.20262) or higher. 

This helped in our case to fix the issue.

The only work around we have found was to move the users from Outlook 2019 to the newest version of Outlook 365.   We found approving it online was causing issues if the approval form had any sort of generated attachment so we had to upgrade a few key approvers just to get things rolling.

 

I asked Microsoft for an update to the ticket on the 11th and was told the following:

Just FYI this is the final message I got from Microsoft

"I want you to know that, as per our PG Team update Office 2019 actions was deprecated some time ago, so suggested work-around is to use Outlook 365 and there is no alternative work-around for this."

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
