Flow - Email format

Sup Flow-ers!

My company is integrating Flow more and more for many approval processes and also to automate the Flow of information.

Big issue though, the email format when sending automated emails populated from sharepoint list fields looks awful!

Does anyone have tips to generate more visually appealing emails? Take a look at a basic email that flow sends from a SP list:

Sorry it's in french but this is not the point, the issue is that the spacing is atrocious, even though I have formatted it correctly in my Flow template. The parenthesis () are fields that are fetched from a SP list.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks!

Hi mat_it_guy,

When you configure the action “Office 365 Outlook – Send email”, have you selected “Yes” for Is HTML field?

Please try to use HTML line breaks when configuring the Body field.

I have tried the flow configuration likes below, it works fine.

The email format I received is what I formatted in the flow.

Hope this could be a reference for you. Please try it on your side and let me know if it will work for you.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

I used to make use of Microsoft Flow, to trigger notification email based on "New Email" recevied.

Is it possible to attach the "New email" as attachment?

That is a great help thanks.

Hi, @v-yamao-msft

The HTML line breaks works well for simple text content. Not so much for pictures.

I have some pictures saved in a SharePoint Online site, and using HTML referring to them. The final email comes out without the picture. It shows the frame of the picture and a little red x icon in top left followed by "The linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. Verify that the link posints to the correct file and location." It's clearly not the case, the files are there, and in the place I have free access to.

Is there a way to generate emails with pictures?

Cheers

Unlike text, which is included in the message body, images are just links. While you may have access to the images, the app or the email platform may not. Try with a picture in the DMZ or from Internet, it works.

Can we have the same HTML formatting for approval emails? My workflow has different formatted emails because the limitations of not being able to HTML format on approval emails and just looks a bit unprofessional - would be good if we could format them all as effectively content/detail is the same

The HTML tags are not working for me and showing up in my email.  Help!!

Is the html option set to yes?

How do I turn off html - where does that option show up in Flow? I have not got Outlook as an action. The approval sends the message...I'm confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
