Flow Failing - Status 404 - Item not found

Hello,

 

recently I struggle with Flows in combination with PowerApps and NAV. I don't know if someone else had this or a similar case (if so please let me know 😉 ) since I'm new here. 

 

I created a PowerApp which works pretty fine in combination with NAV. With the flow I try to track modifications of a field in the PowerApp which will be written in NAV. In case of a modification it shall send a mail. 

 

Honestly I feel like I think in the wrong direction.

 

First what I noticed: There aren't triggers anymore. Just actions. Does anyone know why they got removed?
So instead of the trigger I'm using the "Get item" action for NAV in my flow to load the alreadey existing record. The webservice is based on contracts and the composite key contains the document type and the contract number. I guess "Getitem_RowID" would be the contract number but unfortunately I can't find the field for the document type when I created the NAV action.

 

Then I go further with a constraint which uses the field "Beschreibung" (contract description) and if this isn't equal to "Bedingung_Wert" (contract description of the loaded record in the "Get item" section) a mail will be sent.

When I test the flow it failes finding the test record by the contract number.

Since I'm really not experienced in flows and I didn't find an useful AND understandable explaination with Google I hope I could receive at least a hint here.

Do you want to track modifications of a record in your Dynamics NAV table?

 

I have made a test and the issue is confirmed on my side. The triggers are not available for Dynamics NAV connector within Microsoft Flow currently, even though, these triggers are mentioned within the following article:

I would post this issue to my product team, if this issus is solved, I would reply here.

 

In addition, the error message told the specific item is not found within your Dynamics NAV table. Please check if you have provided proper value within the Row id field of the "Get item" action of Dynamics NAV connector. The Row id field is required to provide a unique identifier of the row.

exactly that's the plan 😄

 

Yes, they were avaiable in the beginning but unfortunately got removed. Dynamics 365 has the trigger. Maybe they removed them from NAV to support Dynamics 365 more.

But that's why I tried to work with the get item action. I created some other test flows and it really seems like the issue is the composite key of the source table.

If it's really because of the composite key (contains contract number and document type) it's understandable why the flow cant find the specific item. Then my question would be how to add the second part of the composite key? I tried several ways to add it to the Row id but nothing worked either Google didn't help (but I can't imagine that nobody else ever tried it).

 

Sadly the blog entries didn't help but thank you anyway!

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
