Flow and Calendar vs. Custom List

I am having difficulty getting a flow to "connect" to a calendar, but can get the same one to connect to a custom list that displays as a calendar. Is there something that needs to be adjusted in a native calendar to make it work with a Flow?

Could you please explain more details about your scenes?

Could you please explain more details about the calendar that you have difficulty getting a flow to "connect" to?Is It the outlook calendar?

You mentioned that yo could connect to a custom list that displays as a calendar, this is the sharepoint Calendar and you would get the Calendar from "sharepoint" connector.

If you need the flow to connect to outlook calendar, you could connect your flow to "Office 365 outlook" connector.

Calendars do not show in the drop down list when using the SharePoint connector.  To connect, select "Enter custom value" from the list and enter the name of the Calendar list.

Please note that dealing with SharePoint calendars can be tricky especially when repeating/recurring events are invloved.

Alice -- Thanks for the reply. I created a standard (true) calendar from the Add an App in a SharePoint site. I built a workflow around it (and Out of Office workflow, based on the Flow request template). It's live and working.

I then saved the calendar as a template so I could reuse it. I created a new calendar based on the template. I then saved the Flow as a copy of itself and renamed it. Now I'm trying to connect the Saved As Flow to the new calendar (created from the template) and when I put in the new Site Address and List URL into the flow and create a new item on the calendar, it doesn't work.

But, I have an instance of it working.

So, just wondering if there's anything about calendars that Flow has issues with. I can create a custom list and apply a calendar view to it (as the default) and the Flow works on that. But, remember, I also have a true calendar connected and working with another iteration of this Flow.

Just wondering if I'm overlooking anything from the Calendar end. I've tried to make this new calendar and Flow as exact copies of what's currently working (by saving as or creating from a saved template), but the copies doen't seem to work.

No errors in the flow, but no run instances either.

Perplexing, to say the least.
