Flow from Outlook to SharePoint libary - attachments only

I have Microsoft Flow moving email attachments into a SharePoint Library. Problem is if I have 1 PDF and 2 images on email it brings them over as 3 individual entries into SharePoint. I just want REAL attachments to come over (like .pdf, tif), not every image etc. on the email.

Do you only want to save the PDF files in the library but not images?

I am using this template to save email attachment to SharePoint library:

when an email with 1 PDF, 2 Images arrives, 3 individual entries would be created in SharePoint library. Looks like below:

It seems that all the files from the email attachment would be saved in the library. I also try to use a condition, but I found that now there is only one Relationship “is equal to” can be used.

If I misunderstand you, please feel free correct me. I will confirm it from my side to see if there are any available workaround, I will back once I got any updates.

Hi Mabel, yes, I just want to move the .pdf attachment to SharePoint. Like in your example it's grabbing images from my email and sending them across to my sharepoint library.

Did you have any luck finding a solution for your issue?

I'm having the same problem here.

I setup a Flow, that email attachemnets sent to a specific mailbox are saved into a dedicated library in SharePoint.

The Flow ends up saving all attachments (PDF and images from the email footer).

I couldn't workout a way to specify the type of attachment I wish to save.Flow does have actions and conditions, but I don't see a solution so far.

Any help from the forum is greatly appreciated.

I have some updates for you. Please try to use the file name instead of content-type in the condition (content-type is actually fairly low level; including things like www-urlencoded).

I created a flow using the template and add a condition “Attachment Name contains .pdf”, when an email with attachment arrived, only PDF files can be saved in the library.

HI Mabel, I'm still getting two .gif images coming over. These are from company images (gifs) that are included in the senders email. I added Name Contains .pdf but it still brings over the 2 gifs. as well. We're you able to get it to work if other images were in your email? If so maybe I missing an earlier setting (maybe under advanced?).

Hi Neddyflanders,

Could you show me a screenshot of your flow?
If you add a condition and configure it looks like below, then it would not work as expected, the images would also be saved to the library:

Please try to click the “Add a condition” button under the action Create file as I highlighted, then drag it and put it before the “Create file” action.

I configured the flow using this step, now the flow works fine on my side. When images are sent as attachments, the flow will filter them and doesn't save them to the library.

Please try it and let me know if this works.
