How to add custom property values to custom arrays

Hello,

I am trying to create an approval flow where I have 10 different columns for company, dedicated company approvers, center number, amount. So columns are like

Company 1,2,3...10

Approver 1,2,3...10

Center 1,2,3,.....10

amount 1,2,3....10

I have all the details saved in a SharePoint list, now in one item user can decide how many company they want to add so it could be only 1 company detail, it could 2 or could be up to 10.

I need to send approval to all the approvers either all details in one or I can send them individually only their details.

then once everyone has responded with either approve or reject, I need to save all the response and comments in a multiline text column which I can do that.

And after all of the responses are received, if one of them is rejected, it will set the item status from Pending to Reject.

I am trying to create different arrays for different companies using compose action but as I am adding values directly from "Get item" action, it is only taking the values in array and not the properties

This is what I am assuming:

As I will need the values from 10 companies like this, I need to make one array out of it and for that I will need to define custom property for those values I am adding in compose action to create 10 arrays of 10 companies.

Can you suggest something better or help me how can I add custom property for these custom compose arrays?

Do you want to put the data of all companies added by users into arrays?

I think if you put all the columns in one SharePoint list, you may need to create 10 arrays by compose action.

I suggest you create two lists, one for the company selected by the user, and the other for the company's information

Based on your description, I have made a simple test for your reference.

In my test, the count of companies is three.

This is SharePoint lists for test:

The Column “Company” is a Lookup column related to “CompanyName” in list “CompanyInfo”.

The Column “Company” allows multiple selections.

This is my flow:

The Column "Company" is used to save the company selected by the user.

We can filter the corresponding company information in the list “CompanyInfo” through Apply to each.

Then create the array in the loop, and finally append all the arrays to array “AllCompany”.

Result:

As shown, the array “AllCompany” contains data of two companies selected by the user.

If this is not the case, please post your list with sample data in a screenshot to explain your scenario more clearly.

Appreciate your response but the first solution I tried was using lookup columns

now since I have 10 companies and 10 different approvers, it will create 20 lookup columns which is not liked by SP and MSFT as they do not prefer too many lookup columns in a list

second, apart from company name and defined approvers, rest of the details will be dynamic like company code, cost center , currency and amount can be anything that user type in so cant use them for lookups

I actually found out in the flow to create an array of all 10 company info from single request then filtering it out to remove empty values and then used that array in my approvals. 🙂
