How to switch back to classic mode. New design has changed HTML in my Outlook Email actions

Until today I could select whether to edit in classic mode or the new experience. Now my Flows are opening in the new design without the option to open in the classic UI. The new design has changed my email content so I need to switch back.

I saw that option also, but nothing happens when I click it.  I cannot get to the classic designer.  I'm using Edge.

Update:  When using "make.PowerAutomate.com", I cannot get to classic mode, but if I use "make.Powerapps.com" I can get to classic mode.  I really hope they don't get rid of classic mode until all functionality is actually replicated in the new designer.  Hello!

Mate,

Can you leave a screenshot? I really need this back to work with HTML mails but can't find it.

Here is a video to fix it.

You're welcome.

It seems to be inconsistent and changing daily.  Yesterday while using Make.Powerapps.Com it opened in the new designer, but this time I was able to click the ellipsis at the top right to switch to classic mode.  Now all my flows open in classic mode.  Try opening them different ways (from inside a solution, from the list of flows, open the flow and click edit button at the top, open in new tab, etc.).

@Digital

I have explained two methods to switch back to Classic Designer on my blog. Check it out via the following link:

Arash

I'd love to know how to make this permanent. I'm opening flows dozens of times a day so this is a huge annoyance and waste of my time.

Okay, this low-rent video might be helpful if your issue is that you simply can't find/see the ellipses that reveals the (broken) control to switch to the classic designer.  But this video is going to do absolutely nothing to help anyone that can find and access the control - but clicking the control just does absolutely nothing and never switches you to the classic designer after clicking on it.

For anyone else who comes across this, I will save you time sifting through useless YouTube videos:

In your URL bar you will see the URL that starts with make dot powerautomate dot yada yada yada.  Go all the way to the very end of that URL string and you will see

v3=true

Simply change "true" to "false" and press enter.  Bada bing!! (No Microsoft pun intended, obviously.  No one uses Bing) Page will re-load in classic designer and the useless ellipses/control will no longer be holding you back from the glory of automation greatness.

Enjoy!

It looks like MS listened and added an easy button for all of us who want to switch back to the classic mode. Once you go into edit a flow, check the upper right-hand corner; there is no button to toggle between the Classic and Copilot views. 🙂 Classic to New.PNG

This is significantly better than it was 👍 Still, I would like a way to set this as the default and not have to click it every single time I open dozens of flows a day.

Yeah, they don't _want_ you to go back to doing things the way _you_ like to do it. You must comply with _their_ desires because Uncle Bill knows best.

(Yes, I know Bill has been gone for years, but his attitude in this still prevails.)

Legend...!!! 😍

Just add a comment to the flow to prevent the new designer 😉

To make it easier to add the v3=false to the URL, I created a short bookmarklet that swaps true for false and also caters for when the v3 value isn't present:

javascript:(function() {    var url = window.location.href;    var updatedUrl = url.replace(/v3=true/g, 'v3=false');    if (updatedUrl === url) {        updatedUrl = updatedUrl + (updatedUrl.indexOf('?%27) !== -1 ? %27&%27 : %27?%27) + %27v3=false%27;    }    window.location.href = updatedUrl;})();

Edit - the code block keeps switching the : to : , so you'll have to manually change it back after copying it.

Just create a new bookmark in your browser and add the above code as the URL. Then when your flow starts to open up in the new editor, just click your new bookmark and you'll be switched over to the classic designer.

THANK YOU! This worked.
