Need help - required to be of type 'String/date'. The runtime value '""'

I am getting this error sometimes. NewPricing Date is coming from a Form as a Date. In Sharepoint the column is set up as a date. 

The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Create_an_Item' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'item/NewPricingDate' is required to be of type 'String/date'. The runtime value '""' to be converted doesn't have the expected format 'String/date'.

Here is what is odd. Those that SUCCEED in the FLOW are from USA, and those that FAIL with this code are from Mexico. Is there something that could be in a MM/DD vs. DD/MM default on settings on a computer that impact this?

Could you please a screen capture of your flow. 

Possible reason of error-

        Data value is null or empty 

       Date format (for this i need to see the flow)

Success and Fails Error FlowFlow

@DeepakS all the ones that Succeeded were processed in the United States. The ones that failed were processed in Mexico. I did find some information on FORMs that the browser can change the date format but nothing on it connecting to FLOW. Where as, if on the form, the user selects a date of 4/30/2020, satisfying the required date selection, it might get uploaded as 30/4/2020 because of the browsers DD/MM format. Thus becoming a string and not a date in a date field.

@DeepakS I might of fixed it. I got a chance to watch the colleague from Mexico enter the data. Settings on their browser are indeed in Spanish, therefore the date format is DD/MM/YYYY versus MM/DD/YYYY in FORMS.  They inserted all of the data and it worked this time?!?!? Only thing I changed was bilingual on the Microsoft Forms. Not sure if this did it or something else. Very odd. Thanks for the help.

We are facing the same issue. We are not using any forms. We are updating sharepoint list from excel data using power automate flow. There is no region specific setting. The values can be blank in the excel from where we are fetching the details and updating the same in the sharepoint list.

I'm also running into this issue; same as Yuvraj_Sharma, I don't have any time zones issues.

I have a Sharepoint list that I'm trying to update via an Excel sheet, both date fields are setup as dates.

And previously I was able to load the data, but now trying to update it is causing issues, and for some reason is 'converting' the date back to a general/text format within the flow , so I'm getting the error below

Yuvraj, did you solve your issue? I think I have the same problem with having no date specified in the Excel data, but SP thinks  The runtime value '""' to be converted doesn't have the expected format 'String/date'.

Should I create an action that changes the value to null?

Hi Matt did you find a way round this? I have blank responses from FORMS due to branching choices, but sometimes they will contain data...

I'm having this same issue, but it is when the Data value is null or empty. Both the form I am using and the list are not required fields.  How to I solve this issue?

try an if empty formula for the field

if(empty(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/yourdatefield']), null, outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/yourdatefield'])

or a condition 

the redacted bit is the output you want to check is empty or not.
