No user details with email or UPN

Hi there,

First, Happy new year to All.

I have this issue and I am looking for an advice.

I have a flow that send an email and then post and adaptive card in teams. So far so good. the problem is when the email is to somebody who is external or the email in not in the company. the flow fail and I don't want to receive the email notification.

How can avoid this?

You may need to alter this depending on your workflow but add a Get user profile action before you send the e-mail and post the adaptive card. Below that add a parallel step where on one side you will put your send e-mail and adaptive card actions, and on the other side you will put a terminate flow action.

Then configure the run after option of the Terminate so it only runs when the Get user profile action fails.

You can then set the Terminate flow action to:

You should be able to add a condition and check the email address.  If it is within your org, do one thing and if not, do something else.

You can use a split() or slice() expression to grab the last part of the email address.

Hi, All.

I am having hard time trying to get this done. The reason is because the email is from a list not the current user.

I am trying to implement something like this:

In this sample the email is a Hotmail.  so no adaptive card should be posted.

@{not(empty(body('Search_for_users')))}  Is equal to false.

But still not working

What is the source of the email addresses?  Where does the data come from?

The emails came from a Share point lists column "Single line of text"

See my example below and please let me know if it works for you.  I am checking to see if any results came back from the Search for users action.

This is what I am getting from the search for users action when an email is for instance a hotmail:

Value = [ ]

In this case I need to stop the send the adaptive card.

And  when the search for user returns a registered user it returns  all the user data. In that case I need to send the adapative card.

Make sense?
