'NotFound' error when using Convert file

The convert file step I used here gives a 'NotFound' error, with Id passed as input.

Aravind6_3-1713836184828.png

However, earlier within the same flow, I tried using the same Id to get file content and there is no error, which should mean the file of the specified Id does exist.

Aravind6_0-1713835942027.png

For reference, the file Id input is from a previous Create file step:

Aravind6_2-1713836160411.png

which does not have any errors either and produces the correct file in the /Documents folder.

These are the error details:
Error from Office Service. Url=https://wordcs.officeapps.live.com/document/export/pdf HttpCode=NotFound cert=subject:;thumbprint: ResponseHeaders=Connection: close
Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2024 01:16:22 GMT
Server: Microsoft-IIS/10.0
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET

How can I fix this?

Hi , @Aravind6

Can you try to test if you create a new flow to convert this file can work successfully?

If this , you can try to add a "Delay" action after your "Create file" action.

Best Regards,

Yueyun Zhang

I tried to retrieve the file using the get file content step directly after creating the file, and the next step I added is the file conversion step (with the same Id). So the file is shown to be retrievable, if I am not mistaken. Can I please ask why adding a delay is recommended?

Hi , @Aravind6

This is strange , i test it in my side , it can work with no error:

This is what my flow looks like, I perform 'Create file' in OneDrive using file content (contentBytes) and file name (name) from the PowerApps trigger file input --> use Id from the create file step as input to the next 2 'Get file content' and 'Convert file' steps. Not sure where I made the mistake.

Hi , @Aravind6

Thanks for your response! Your flow seems that have no issue. Can you check if you select the same connection of your action:

If this can not help you , can you also try to re-create the flow in the classic mode ?

Tried it in classic mode, still fails at the convert step. All previous steps including file creation and get file content don't have issues.

Hi , @Aravind6

I suggest you create a support ticket for professional assistance following the below procedure.

Hi @Aravind6,

I've also just started getting this issue from today.

On a flow that has been operating without issue for many months.

We have this problem too!

Been working fine up until today. Tried recreating in simpler flows and still NotFound.

Hoping it gets sorted soon.

I think there is a solution that works for me!

I was able to delete all the connections from OneDrive in my environment from the home page left section under "Connections" and then in the flow re-establish a connection with OneDrive. That solved the issue for me.

I hope this can solve it for you too!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried doing what you suggested and this time the flow does not fail, but the converted pdf I get is a blank file. I tried converting different types of files: xlsx, docx, csv, the output is always a pdf with a number of pages that matches the size of the original file, but completely blank/empty.

Hi, @Aravind6

Did you use the new designer in your side? Can you try to re-create the action in the classic mode in Power Automate to test again?

Following @DoubleT 's suggestion stops the flow from failing but in both modes (classic and new), the pdfs generated are blank for me.

This is an issue for me too, also on a flow that has been working seamlessly for 6+ months with no recent changes.

Dear @Aravind6 ,

I too faced this issue, the connector was working more than a year and we deployed to PROD. Unfortunately, it is stopped working; however, I found an work around to convert file to PDF. Please follow the below blog for more detailed information.
