Certainly! Here’s the translation to English:

"Hello community,

I need help with a workflow that sends a notification email when a new folder is created. However, the email needs to be sent to different departments.

I’ve already created the flow, and it works, but only if a specific path is used.

Example:

  • ruta1. Documentos compartidos/Acciones Tramitadas/ADMINISTRACION/2024/

    ruta2 Documentos compartidos/Acciones Tramitadas/DIRECCION MEDICA/2024/

    ruta3. .........

So far, so good! 😊

But if I create a folder within a subfolder, the flow doesn’t work, and I’m not sure how to handle this.

For instance, if I create a folder in the path Shared Documentos compartidos/Acciones Tramitadas/ADMINISTRACION/2024/JULIO, the existing case no longer works.

What can I do to make the flow understand that I’m inside a specific subpath and still send the email to the corresponding department?"

Hi @JosueCR

Instead of using case statement, use this approach- would be quite simple

After trigger create an array which would have details

Nived_Nambiar_0-1718765783135.png

You should create an array in which its each object would have following details: Department, Path, EmailTo field as mandatory, you can add other properties if you like.

Now use a filter array and try to filter the above variable like this-

Filter expression -

and(startsWith(triggerOutputs()?['body/{Path}'],item()?['Path']),contains(triggerOutputs()?['body/{Path}'],item()?['Department']))

This expression checks whether the path dynamic content starts with path property of any object in the array and the department value contains in the path (not sure how you are comparing/validtaing department).

Next use the output from filter array to send email
Nived_Nambiar_2-1718766130615.png

Expression -

first(body('Filter_array'))?['EmailTo']

Expression -

first(body('Filter_array'))?['Department']

Hope it helps !

Hi @JosueCR

Reason why it has not sent an email after subfolder created under another subfolder is because your flow is trying to create subfolder under Documentos compartidos/Acciones Tramitadas/ADMINISTRACION/2024/JULIO , When using the Path dynamic content.

Workaround for this would be to use a condition action instead of switch action- like using startswith operator to check whether the Path dynamic content starts with given path. Take the below screenshot as reference.
