Parse JSON - Schema validation fail

Hi All!

I  am trying to get a csv file and transfer the data to a sharepoint list, but the JSON parsing is failing because of an empty line at the bottom. I have tried adding the null value to the schema to the type property, but this seems to stop me from adding particular data to the needed columns in the sharepoint.

Have you ever had this issue?

Hey @gabi5rova 

2 things to do here:

1) Make "type": ["string", "null"]

which I think you have already done.

2) Remove the required part from the schema.

Thank you so so much for the solution! 🙂

This still creates one blank row in the sharepoint list, but I think I will just run a flow periodically to clean them up.

In your current flow itself you can do this probably.

Before create item action, inside the apply to each add a condition, as you have only three fields you can add all the fields in that condition and compare it to null. If anyone of them is null then dont create an item. So the condition will be an AND here.

Or, if dont want the above and if your required column is null, then dont create an item.

1st scenario, if you dont want to create a row, if any field is null:

2nd Scenario: If the required field is null, and you dont want to create a new row:

Tried it and also got me thinking... And decided to try something on the Select before the JSON parsing.

This also works - removing both the header row and the last "blank" row each and every import.
