Power Automate - Adding Attachments

I have two Approval flows that perform essentially the same task, one when an item is created and the other when it is updated. They are the same in structure, with the only difference being the trigger.

The first is done from SharePoint > When an item is created (for the new record) and the second is a Power Apps trigger sending the ID of the item (as it has already been created).

An essential function in this Flow is attaching any attachments from the relevant item to the approval email. This is done by creating an Array Variable of the attachment name and content and passing this onto the email content. This works perfectly in Flow #1, so no issues with any of that.

In Flow #2 however all the steps of collecting and setting the variable work perfectly, but it fails right at the end in Outlook with the message.

The request failed. Error code: 'InvalidRequestContent'. Error Message: 'The request content was invalid and could not be deserialized: 'Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: [. Path 'attachments[0].content', line 1, position 1902.'.'.

Thanks, that does work for my initial flow, when an item is created, however it does not work from the Powerapps?

@Gopala_Krishna you are correct it should work.

I am assisting @Mars1000 on the "other" side of this in Power Apps and this one has me baffled. The two Flows are identical except for the trigger - the one on the New record (when an Item is created) works perfectly and sends the attachments from the item on the email. The second is a Power Apps trigger with the ID of the item (for a follow-up). The Flow succeeds all the way down to the email then fails with the message shown.

I will also tag @Pstork1 if he does not mind spending a few minutes on what I hope is something obvious we cannot see.

So if I am following this correctly one of the flows is using a Power Apps trigger and the other is using a Power Automate trigger for when an item is Created.  Is that correct?

Yes the only difference in the flows is the initial trigger - we will see how @Mars1000 goes with the new video from @jinivthakkar  -- unless you can see something else obvious.

A bit further into the mystery - replacing the Start and wait for an approval with a "normal" SendEmailV2, it works perfectly and the email arrives with all the attachments.

On the Approval however it fails with the message in the original post. As @Mars1000 mentioned, exactly the same code works perfectly when triggered from When an item is created.

Any ideas?

Email works fine now, but attachments cannot be opened - can be downloaded, but they are invalid.

This old Reddit post has the quite strange answer at the bottom. Surely this has to be a bug.

All works now (at least in my test model). Onto @Mars1000 tomorrow in the real version.
