Power Automate Flow: Have the Email Sender be the Person Who Modified the SharePoint List Item

Microsoft recently changed the SharePoint List Rules function, so the email sender is the person who made the change triggering the rule. For example, you create a Rule to send an email to Jane Doe whenever the "Status" column changes. If John Doe goes to the List Item and changes the status, John Doe will be the email sender of the notification email to Jane Doe.

I am trying to perform a similar function using Power Automate. The reason I would like to use Power Automate instead of rule is that I want the email body to contain some additional information than the "Rule" email generates. However, whenever I try to use the Dynamic Expression "Modified By Email" for the "Send As" field, I receive the following error: "You are not authorized to send mail on behalf of the specified sending account."

I do not have administrative access to gain access to people's email addresses so I can't go that route. I am wondering if there is any other mechanism to achieve the same functionality Rule has (where the email sender changes based on who modified the particular column of interest) but with a Power Automate Flow.

Before you attempt this, you are going to have to get privileges to send as the other people. Depending on your environment's security configuration, this might be a little or big request.

Assuming you get the permissions (I sure don't have them), here's a possible scenario:

Get the email of the person who last modified the item from SharePoint:

items('Apply_to_each_3')?['Editor/Email']

Insert the output of the items('Apply_to_each_3')?['Editor/Email'] into the Send as box. Again, this won't work unless you have the correct permissions. Talk to your Enterprise admins or your Security office.

@WMupo  I had the same issue with Dynamics. I told them that it would not be possible to send emails on behalf of other users from basically the whole company. As a workaround, we included the name of the person who modified the record in the body of the email. Please let me know if you find any other solutions. Good luck

I am curious why when using Rule the email sender is the person who modified it (eventhough I created the Rule I don't have access to the person modifying the item's email) but when programming a flow you need to have access to the person modifying the item's email. How does the Rule method get around the creator of the rule not having access to other's email box?
