Power automate work flow stops working overnight

HI

I wonder if anyone is able to help.

I have built a fairly simple work flow.  A user completes a form, this goes to a manager (always the same person) for approval, updates an excel file with the approval status and emails the user who completed the form with the outcome of the approval.  It also emails our payment person in Finance to make a payment if it is approved.

This works fine but overnight the workflow stops after the point the approval goes to the manager.  If I rebuild the workflow in the exact same way it appears to work again - so I'm very confused.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Hi @HigDave ,

Good day, Can you post a screenshot of your current flow, Maybe it has to do with the condition logic,

Also you may want to check your connections are still active.

Thanks for coming back to me - appreciated.  The below is the flow and a screenshot of the condition step - if that helps.

Do you know how I check the connections are active?

Thanks

Dave

Hi @HigDave, @Thank you for the response, under your flow runs, Can you open the failed flow and Take a screenshot of the particular point where the failed icon pops up.

Also you can check you power platform connection status the link: Connection will guide you on how you can get that done

Thanks Joseph - I checked the connections and all ok.

Do the below screenshots help regarding the failed run?

Hi @HigDave,

If you click on the date, You should see the flow error details, It will show the flow chart and at what specific area it failed, That is what I want to confirm

Got you - please see below

Hi @HigDave,

Based on your screenshot I can see the cause of the error,

Your process is Logical and ideally works, But the reason why it didn't work on that particular occasion is because the row I'd wasn't found. I believe you are updating the row Id with dynamic content of probably what was filled in the form.

So basically the flow didn't find that particular row The user selected. And I believe that's why it's working for others and it failed for that one.

I hope my explanation is clear thus far,

Kindly feel free to like the replies thus far and Mark as a solution to aid others in the community

Thanks for your help.

I've got a feeling there is a timing issue with the Row ID being created.  I have added in a couple of delay steps to hopefully help with it.

Will see how that goes.

Really appreciate the help.
