Remove backslash "\" from response

Hi everybody,

I've build flow, which ends with Json Response.
In the response I get all the desired results in the format I need, only thing is that each value starts with backslash \ and I need to either replace it or remove it from the response.

Currently is like : \"smth\":Str, \"value\", etc.
would like to be: "smth":Str, "value" , etc.

I think you should use the replace expression.

replace(„your dynamic content“,‘\‘,‘‘)

your dynamic content can be a Information from a forms or something else.

@Hiaslar, i have tried both:
replace(„Compose“,‘\‘,‘‘)
replace(outputs(‘Compose’),”\”,"")

Flow gives error that it is invalid expression.

Any ideas?

Do you know that you can type your expression like "replace()" and then you can choose your dynamic content? (Like a link) then should it works. 

But please note that you use the ' and not the " to define your string you want to replace. So replace(dynamic content (as describe above),'\','')

okay I understand the problem. 

1. instead of "dynamic content" please choose "expression"

2. Type in following text "replace()"

3. Set the curser between the to two brackets

4. Click "dynamic content" (next to "expression")

5. Choose your dynamic content (e.g. outputs) and type , (comma)

6. and now the rest of the expression. '\','')

7. press "ok"

Now it should work.

I have the same issue. I am fairly familiar with Automate and the replace function, but for some reason, the backslash character within the target string is not interpreted correctly, so the replace fails. 
My base situation is nearly identical to the original submitter's. I have even attempted placing the target string within a variable with no luck.

Was a solution for this ever found?  We're encountering the same issue in an SFTP file transfer.  The built-in SFTP connector appends backslashes to all field strings and there appears to be no mechanism to remove them.

Our team adjusted the input prior to the automate flow, but that was 18 months ago. There could be something more simple available now....

I am scanning a CSV file using a "Convert from Base64" step. My result Output also contained \" connected to each of the fields and header values. e.g.  I have found that this is an escaped double quote. 

\"companyName\",\"companyEmail\",\"companyPhone\"

To remove the slash, I've found that referencing the double quote only, allowed the Compose step to remove the escape symbol. You cannot replace using backslash as it is a single part of the \"

Here is my Compose expression (I did not need to escape the double quote with the backslash in the expression):

replace(outputs('Convert_From_Base64'),'"','')

companyName,companyEmail,companyPhone,

On another note, this will remove quotes from fields that you need to preserve the comma in the data that are not delimiters. As a result, I added a compose step to replace my comma with a pipe delimiter before removing the escaped double quote.

|\"companyName|\"companyEmail|\"companyPhone|

 Just remember to change all subsequent Split expressions to use the pipe delimiter instead of the comma if you decide to do this.
