Return data to Powerapps issue

Hello everyone,

I am following the instructions of this:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/return-an-array-from-flow-to-powerapps-response-method/

Unfortunately instead of retrieving the records, I retrieve a True value.

This is the flow:

FlowEdit.PNGHere is the expression that collects the data from the FlowHere is the expression that collects the data from the FlowAs you can see the flow sends back dataAs you can see the flow sends back data
Here is what the flow returnsHere is what the flow returns
Does anyone know why? I would like to have the data and not the true value.
Thank you

Hi @Mike8,

Could you please share more details bout the apps you create to get the data from flow?

Have you collect the result of that flow to a collection?

I afraid that maybe there is something wrong on your apps.

Please check the configuration of your app and see if you have collect the result of that flow refer to the link you provided.

Please let me know if you find the problem and the issue could be solved.

Best regards,

Alice

Just click to refresh the flow in your power apps. It will work!

Why is this closed? Still return "True" when it's returning an Array from Flow. Have you found the solution?

Same issue.

Hello,

I had my Response action wrong. I had forgotten to add the body. Silly mistake. Check your flow. I think it's going to be smth similar.

Kind regards,
Michalis

Response output is not empty and yet, all i get in PowerApps is 'True'.

Can you try to go to View--> Datasources select the 3 dots of the flow you are refering to, remove it and add again?

Hi,

I'm bumping this as I've just spent around 5 hours trying to figure this out. Hopefully this may help someone.

The answer for me was to simply recreate your Flow. For whatever reason, PowerApps doesn't play nice if your Flow is created before the PowerApp (?). I got to the stage of creating my Timer within the PowerApp (OnTimerEnd Runs the Flow and adds the response to a collection), deleted the existing Flow, recreated it manually, added the new Flow to OnTimerEnd from the Flow button in the command bar within the Action tab (I believe this is required to refresh the Flows available to you in the PowerApp), and built my ClearCollect function around it e.g. ClearCollect(Weather, WeatherFlow.Run("London")).

Gave that a test and it all worked, I now have data in my table not the boolean value of "True".

I did everything to not use this method. I finally had no choice and my solution was:

1) Create a FLOW as I want it.

2) Using a button in PowerApps, run the flow to get a payload to generate the JSON

3) Create a brand new flow from a to z with the JSON.

4) Add the flow to PowerApps.

This returns me the table like I want it.

Had the same problem with the boolean return...took me quite some hours 😞 Thanks for sharing your solution!

Seems like I am having identical problem.

I getting json result from my flow and trying to save it in collection. All I get is column name Value with value of true.

flow1.JPG

Even on intelisense in powerapps results will always be boolean - does it mean that flow will always return boolean and this response feature is just not working? This is really confusing.

Hey, have anyone figured it out? I am struggling with this for 5 hours. I am still getting Value True in my collection. Help

Hi! Please look at the suggestion above. I was struggling too, but rebuilt everything and then it worked...

Have you tried making a working flow, creating a new one from scratch with a different name that is exactly the same? Then import it in PowerApps. The problem is that PowerApps doesn't seem to update the Flow definition when it's edited.

I did try it multiple times. Do I have to recreate connector from scratch as well?

I created a new flow and Powerapps is still showing "True" instead of the json content.

I am dealing with this same issue - Request.Response returns boolean and not the table.

I set the Response Body to body('Execute_stored_procedure_(V2)')resultsets.Table1

I set the schema and the Execute_stored_procedure_(V2) output

the Flow work fine, but in Power Apps it returns boolean.

NEED HELP ASAP - Thank you
