Run Script Other user running error

Hi,

Not sure if i'm doing this right, but I have a flow that runs after a user on the powerapps side hits a button. This then transfers the data from powerapps to power automate which is then parsed out and created into an CSV file data. I created an office script that formats the excel document to look a certain way. The issue is that when a user tried to run the flow it can't seem to find the script even though it is shared and public from my one drive.

Any ideas on how to fix this issue. I know you can't run scripts from Sharepoint right now, but there has to be a way to give users access to this script file without needing to create a file for each user to run the scripts in this flow.

Hi @Corbitbeeler ,

As far as I know, flow cannot find the script being shared.

Here is the workaround.

Where do you find this by chance? I've been looking for it in my flow. Is this part of the connectors?

Hi @Corbitbeeler ,

What's your trigger?

I'm using button flow and you can find it here.

I am using an instant flow that takes data in powerapps and converts it over to CSV

Hi @Corbitbeeler ,

Please use powerapps V2 trigger if you are using powerapps trigger.

Best Regards,

Wearsky

Let me give that a try! 🙂 Let's hope it works.

It was weird before because when I first made it I had users test it and they could run the scripts without any problems. Not sure what i changed and I even reset it back to default when it was working.

I changed the flow to start with powerapps V2, and it did not impact the error.

Edit: Correction, to the previous statement. I switched to powerapps V2 but I failed to go into the "Run only Users" option to make a change there! It worked as soon as I made the change. Thank you for your suggestion

Hi Yevreeva, I'm not sure why but some reason when trying to run script using one drive doesn't seem to work as I know right now. I have an account that has access to the one drive and still can't run its own office scripts which doesn't make sense. I found out if you put the sharepoint site on the location of the run script part you can not sure if its tricking or if its a bug get it to work and run the script without needing it to be the owner of the office script. I used a service account to create the instant flow with powerappv2 and now I can i have any users run the flow without needing to have access to that office script. Let me know if you'd like me to show you on how its setup. Its weird how I got it to work too alot of trial and error. I fully think its some kind of bug with how its working because technical you shouldn't be able to run a script from a sharepoint site.
