Saving specific email attachment to OneDrive - save cvs files in different folders

Hi,

I am new to power automate. I would like to save the CVS files in the email attachment to different folders in my OneDrive respectively with Power Automate.

1. Receive emaill attachment

Kelvin82_0-1641472156514.png

2. In the attachment, there is two CVS files - _all_items_all_cards_Date AND _all_orders_with_card_and_oracle_updates_Date

3. I would like to save the two CVS files to their folders respectively.

Could you please advise me how to set up the flow:)

Many thanks

Hi @Anonymous

I would start with the following trigger setup to filter on subject and only if there is an attachment:

DamoBird365_0-1641484729475.png

You then want to get the attachment, create the zip file on One Drive and Extract the zip to a "temp" folder.  If you are new to Power Automate, it will insert the apply to each for you but you can avoid it if you know you have a single attachment.  An improvement for another day.

DamoBird365_1-1641486967008.png

You then want to list the files in the temp folder and using a compose, create the new path by replacing /temp/ with either /_all_items_all_cards/ if the file name contains all_items_all_cards OR your other path /_all_orders_with_card_and_oracle_updates/

i.e.

if(

contains(items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Path'],'all_items_all_cards'),

replace(items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Path'],'/temp/','/_all_items_all_cards/'),

replace(items('Apply_to_each_2')?['Path'],'/temp/','/_all_orders_with_card_and_oracle_updates/')

)

DamoBird365_2-1641487070339.png

You can then move the file using the path from list files in folder and the output of the compose i.e. the new path.

The only other tidy up might be to delete the original zip file.  That can be done with the delete file action.

I ran this on an incoming email with the following result:

DamoBird365_3-1641487252925.png

Do you know what i have done wrong?

Many thanks

Kelvin

Hi @Anonymous

I believe you have used the path for the zip, rather than the path from the list files i.e. the CSV.  You can see that in the screenshot file path.

Hi @Anonymous

Can you share with me the error and what you see in the history. Are you rerunning the original history or triggering with a new file?

Below is the expression i've put with compose. Could you please advise if i need to review it?

Hi @Anonymous

It will be a capital T in temp as replace is case sensitive. Either rename folder to temp rather than Temp or update replace where all instances of temp equal Temp.
