Send an email when a new item is created in Sharepoint - define body content

I am using the flow "Send an email when a new item is created in SharePoint". 

Whenever I make a new list item, I want the content to be send to me in a email. 

All i get is information about who made the new item, when it was made and so on.. 

I need the complete report been send to me, so I can forward it to my deployer. 

I think I have to define the content of the body in flow, but I don't know how. 

Can someone please help me? I will be forever grateful!

Hi @Susanne87,

So the easiest way is to edit your Flow and change what is in body of email notification that is generated by your flow.

For example if I edit template notification "Send a customized email when a new SharePoint list item is added" then I get this:

There is under "Show advanced options" hidden one configuration - "Is HTML" - that means that you can format your email like HTML so if you are familiar with it, you can edit it in way you want.

Next thing you would use is dynamic content:

This can be used for almost any column that is filled in your SharePoint item that is triggering this Flow.

So you can play and change it to almost any format you want. You can also use dynamic contect from another actions you used in your Flow.

Could you please share a bit more about your SharePoint list?

I agree with @vecerpa's thought almost. In addition, I think the HTML table could also achieve your needs. I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:

• Add a "When an item is created" trigger, specify Site Address and List Name.
• Add a "Compose" action, Inputs field set to following formula:

array(triggerBody())

• Add a "Create HTML table" action, From set to output of "Compose" action, Include headers set to Yes, Columns set to Custom. Within Header-Value map entries, type following entries:

Within Value input box, type dynamic contents from the trigger.

• Add a "Send an email" action, Body field set to output of "Create HTML table" action, Is HTML field set to Yes.
