Sending emails to users

Hello everyone, 

I want to create a flow to send each user an email at the end of the day that contains the tasks he has done with the score; and the score total towards the end; Knowing that my table is in dataverse (the screenshot is an example of the table shape)

How can I do this?

Here's an example of how you can do this:

1. Use a "Recurrence" trigger to schedule the flow to run at a specific time every day, for example, at 11:59 PM.

2. Use a "List rows present in a table" action to retrieve the rows from your Dataverse table.

3. Use a "Group by" action to group the rows by the "User" column. This will give you a collection of groups, each containing the rows for a specific user.

4. Use a "For each" action to loop through the groups.

5. Within the loop, use a "Select" action to select the rows and the scores of each user.

6. Use a "Compose" action to create the message body of the email. You can use dynamic content to insert the tasks and scores into the message.

7. Use a "Send an email" action to send the email to the user. You can use the "User" column to determine the recipient's email address.

8. Use a "Compose" action to create the message body of the email for the total score.

9. Use a "Sum" action to sum the scores of each user.

10. Use a "Send an email" action to send the email with the total score

It's important to note that you should check the data types of your variables and ensure that they match the expected input of your flow's actions. Also, make sure that you have the necessary permissions to access the Dataverse table and send emails.

Where should I do Group by , at the flow level? if yes how can i do this?

Ignore Group By and look for Filter Array here:

Inside the "Apply to each" action, use a "Compose" action to create the message body for the email. You can use the dynamic content to extract the task name, score, and date from the current row.
Use a "Send an email" action to send the email to the user with the message body created in the previous step.
In the "To" field of the "Send an email" action, use the dynamic content to extract the email of the user.

what does the filter array step contain?

Use the "Filter array" action to filter the records for each user so that you can sum up score of same user, then use the "Select" action to extract the scores for the tasks completed by that user.

Then use the "Apply to each" action to loop through the selected scores and use a "Sum variable" action to sum the scores.
