Previously when creating a notification workflow for a list I have in SharePoint I could add fields with multiple values with no issues.
I was trying to edit the flow today and now every time I add a field with multiple values it throws the flow off, inserting a for each loop that should not be there.
Please let me know what you need from me to help resolve the issue.

Hi @Roberts2727,
Please check if you have enabled Format column which is a Choice type allow multiple selections in your SharePoint list:
Multiple values of Choice type column are not supported in Microsoft Flow currently, please change Checkboxes (allow multiple selections) into Drop-Down Menu or Radio Buttons and check if the issue is solved.
I have made a test on my side and the flow works well. My flow's configuration as below:
The flow works successfully as below:
Best regards,
Kris
Hi @Roberts2727,
Do you want to add multiple values into a field of SharePoint list with Microsoft Flow?
Adding multiple values is not supported in Microsoft Flow currently, if you would like this feature to be added in Microsoft Flow, please vote the following idea:

No, Sorry I guess I was not clear enough that is not the issue at all.
I am using a notification flow, send an email when a new item is added to a sharepoint list.
I cannot insert dynamic content which contains values into the notfication flow. Every time I try to it creates a for each loop. This was working previosly.
Before:
After:
Looks like the flow started failing also on the 28th with the following error.
Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Send_an_email_from_a_shared_mailbox' inputs at line '1' and column '2163': 'The template language expression 'triggerBody()?['Format']?['Value']' cannot be evaluated because property 'Value' cannot be selected. Array elements can only be selected using an integer index. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions for usage details.'.
It worked for months before with items with values.
Hi @Roberts2727,
Which data type is the Format column of your SharePoint list?
Could you please expand "When an item is created" trigger and Share more details about result that the trigger returned (especially the result that Format column returned)?
The error message told that the property 'Value' cannot be selected within Format column.
Please check if the result that Format column returned within the results "When an item is created" trigger returned contains property 'Value'.
Best regards,
Kris
@v-xida-msft Are you available to help with this now? The issue still is not resolved. I do not need help on the failed flow. I need help building the flow to email the value. I can share my screen with you for support and show you the exact issue. If I should file a ticket wtih office 365 please let me know that.
Data type of choice is the value being returned

Yes, my choice type does allow multiple values. Screenshot below. I can not change it to radio/dropdown. It is mandatory for this list to allow multiple values. I guess I will just have to go back to using SharePoint Designer workflow. 😞
Bad thing is the flow was working successfully with multiple choice values before.
Just want you to know I have an open ticket with Flow Support and they agree this functionality should not have been removed.
@v-xida-msft I tried recreating multiple time the scenatio you suggested and it DOES NOT WORK. I get the same error mentioned in the first post.
Please confirm if this functionality has been removed and why.
Thanks.
I have been experiencing exactly the same issue. I came across this thread while googling for solutions.
My field is configured exactly as @v-xida-msft suggested but i also get the same error.
When i add only fields with single values the flow behaves as expected
As soon as i add a field with multiple values it adds the loop. This results in an email being sent for every value in the field, instead of 1 email.
My column has multiple choice and checkboxes set.
@Flow Product team,
Why do you not care to help fix this issue? It is obviously changed since last update, and people are not happy with this. Why do you ignore these threads!
Hi Robert,
We are investigating this issue and will have an update today. Sorry for the loss in functionality.
I filed a ticket and wored with @merwan to implement a workaround. We created a variable and assigned the value from the choice filed to the variable, and used the varibale output in the flow instead of the actual choice field. Thanks again for your help Merwan!
Hi,
To follow up on this thread, the behaviour is indeed changed. Previously we used to return single value null for multi-value choice fields regardless of the actual value when we did not support them. Since November, we support them and started to return an array of values when the field is multi-value (since that is the right behaviour). Roberts has suggested a workaround in his repsonse just before mine to workaround the issue.
Thanks
Here's a sample flow that collects a multi value column in string and uses that in an email. Cost is the multi-value column from sharepoint. HTH
