Hi , @mj07

You need to check the folder path in your create file action in your run historty. And what is your configuration in your folder path in your create file action ?

And then the second Name column is from this

mj07_3-1700097691706.png

Then i have the same condition above if it matches the substring then personnel number

Hi , @mj07

Thanks for your reply, for your question, you can try to check the actual value of the Folder Path in the Run history, and see if it is caused by the value not being matched.
I'm a little unwell and may need to get back to you tomorrow.

So in power automate this is my actions

mj07_1-1700529777274.png

First create folder is for Employee folder then second create new folder is for the sub folder which is Employee Contract

mj07_2-1700529845068.png

Then this is how i move my documents to the create employee folder

Hi , @mj07

Thanks for your quick response !

According to your screenshot , You create the folder first, and then use create file to move your files.
So the question is, did you make a judgment when you created the folder? Do you create the folder based on the prefix of the file that is currently being read?
If you want to move to a specific folder, you'll need to read the corresponding file name before creating a folder and then moving it.
You seem to have put the folder creation step at the top?

Hi!

So this is my whole flow right now

mj07_0-1700531704022.png

First I get the files to be read then the get items to my employee master list in SharePoint. Next is to substring the file name which is the 8 digit personnel number then compare it to my master list if that personnel number is existing. Then I'll use a condition to match those 2 values

mj07_2-1700531731675.png

Second is to create the first folder which is personnel number_personnel name then its sub folder which is Employee Contract. After that I did try to get files again which is to filter all documents types (eg. EC which is for Employee Contract) then substring again the file name that I've got then compared to my second substring contains the folder name. Then condition comparing both

mj07_3-1700531749343.png
Last is to move the corresponding file that has the same personnel number and folder name and correct document type.

What is this you put here ? you can check this in the run history if this will make the duplication?

Hi!

value from Get files properties above apply to each 5

Hi, @mj07

So you can check if this “Get files 2” return all the files in your flow run history?  This should be the file that needs to be created in the current folder.
