Hi 

I'm getting this error in my Power Automate flow.

The flow is triggered by a Microsoft form.  The response Excel spreadsheet generated from the form submissions has been imported into a MS List and its this part of the flow that is failing at Create Item action with the error;

OpenApiOperationParameterTypeConversionFailed. The 'inputs.parameters' of workflow operation 'Create_item' of type 'OpenApiConnection' is not valid. Error details: Input parameter 'item/field_32' is required to be of type 'String/date'. The runtime value '""' to be converted doesn't have the expected format 'String/date'.

When a date is input into the Form, the flow error skips to the next blank date field and this is where the error happens.

There will always be blank date fields in some of the responses on the form so I can not get around blank date responses.

I have checked both the Excel Forms response spreadsheet column 'format cell' and all are set to date.  Likewise I have also checked the column settings in my MS List and all are set to Date and Time type but the flow is still failing.

can you add a "Compose" action after the "Get response details" and provide the Date question value? 

Just to check which data you're getting from Form submission.

thank you - I've solved the date error now by entering an expression within the get an item fields for all those which are dates - expression being i.e. if(equals(outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r714fa114a62347d6884438f89b4bf290'],''),null,outputs('Get_response_details')?['body/r714fa114a62347d6884438f89b4bf290'])

However now I am getting an error on a non-date field, it's a text field in the form, and set to single line of text in the List column setting but is throwing up this error;

which I don't understand as it's not a Number field but a text one.  I also don't know the expression I should use to sort this out....?

Hello @JenMin78 ,

in order to convert the string in Integer or Float, you can use the expression "int" or "float".

Hi,

For anyone who is still having this issue, what I did was completely recreate the column in the SP list with the desired format and transfer the existing data into it if any. Then, copy the 'Create Item' node in power automate if refreshing the connection doesn't work in order to reflect the changes in the list.
