Updating the "Created By" field in SharePoint List

I am beating my head against a wall here. I am trying to update the "Created By" field in a SharePoint List from my PowerAutomate flow.

To do this, here are the steps I am taking: 

Step 1: Compose, in order to capture the Approver's name from the Start and Wait step. (This is working successfully)

Step 2: Create an item in SharePoint and write the Approver's Comment to it. (This is working successfully)

Step 3: Send an HTTP request to SharePoint to update the "Created By" field with the appropriate Approver's name. (Not working at all.)

I cannot for the life of me get this to work. I've tried several different things, and I'm going by this tutorial here:

Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong??

Hi @koontz 

You need to set 'FieldValue' in proper format for both Author & Editor fields:

"FieldValue": "[{'Key':'i:0#.f|membership|<pass email of a user>'}]"

 replace <pass email of a user> with actual email address.

Hi @koontz 

Pls check if any error returns by 'Send an HTTP request to SharePoint ' action. To troubleshoot the issue, pls go to the previous flow run instance, and click on 'Send an HTTP request to SharePoint' action:

Next, check if any error is returned by it.

Hi @ManishSolanki, your solution did indeed work, I appreciate your help!

The issue was two fold: 

1) The 'FieldValue' wasn't in proper format for both Author & Editor fields. I used your solution and it worked 🙂

2) The flow wasn't getting to the HTTP Request, so it's not that it wasn't working.... the function wasn't getting called at all.
