Using Flow to with Filters

Hello,

we're a contracting company and we have a number of users on office 365.

One of the keys to our business is marketing with good images, however we have some issues here.

When one of the operations team upload an image of a completed job, they don't always tell the marketing manager.

what we need to set up is an alert so that every time an image is added under a parent folder, it sends an email to the MM with the file path.

I can setup a normal alter in onedrive, but then that alerts her of everything that is uploading, and that would be very annoying.

My question is basically - how can i setup an email alert for an image that is added to onedrive for business, no matter where it is added?

Is this possible?

Hi Deilla,

Please consider to add a Condition in your flow.

When configure the condition, in Advanced mode, please configure the function likes below:

@or(
     contains(triggerOutputs()['headers']['x-ms-file-name'], '.jpg'),
     contains(triggerOutputs()['headers']['x-ms-file-name'], '.PNG')
     )

Thanks for you're response.

I've done what you suggested, and run a few tests, but is there anyway i can do this so that when i add an image into a subfolder of the specified folder it still sends me an email.

At the moment, it sends me an email when i add an image to the specified folder, but not to any subfolders within that.

Hi @Deilla, @v-yamao-msft

You can use the "file content type" output from OneDrive for Business action.

The output became "image/jpeg", and so on.

Thankyou for you're response and you're attempts to help - i really appreciate it, however, i've tried it out with a number of tests, and this does not solve my issue of no notifications in subfolders.

Hi @Deilla

The trigger of One Drive for Business does NOT support sub folder event.

For example, When a file is created at subfolder 1, The trigger does not run.

So, Creating flows for each folders, and trigger's folder set each folder, It's seems to run.

"Save as" feature of flow can create new flow from a flow.

Hi Deilla,

When using the trigger “When a file is created”, we are asked to specify a folder. When a file is created in the sub folder, it won’t be detected.

Please consider to vote the idea @yoshihirok has suggested.
