Hello, I have created an excel worksheet that requires weekly updating. The flow is created to gather responses from a msft form and fill the responses in to the appropriate cell in the table. The issue is that the I'm thinking I need a formula that will recognize what data needs to be placed in the weekly cell. So ideally, a user will submit a form, selecting what week they are updating, their dept, and then filling in the needed info under their dept in the form. Once the form is submitted, I would need the power flow to recognize that what dept the user is updating for and the week and fill in the info that was submitted for that week, in the listed cells. I hope, I'm explaining this correctly. I will include screenshots for reference. Any help is greatly appreciated!
@hpope ,
Is there a reason you are using an Excel sheet and not a SharePoint list?
This would be easier to achieve via a SP list.
It was requested for the data to be inputted in an excel spreadsheet. Would it be easier to have the data go through SharePoint, then to Excel?
Give me a couple of days. I will send you a sample.
Hello,
So, I changed the table around to see if that would make the flow easier. Based on asking the new design power automate how to update an excel table weekly with form submissions, this is the flow that was provided, however it still doesnt work.
Thank You for checking into this!
@hpope The For each action isn't required in your case. I'm assuming you started editing your flow in the New Designer and switched over to the Classic Designer. The New Designer still has a few bugs and it does have known issues when working with the MS Form trigger and action—at least from my experience.
You should pull the Get response details action outside of the For Each action. In the Response Id field, you need to insert the Response ID dynamic content from the flow trigger.
