Using a Datepicker Date Value as Flow Input doesn't work

Hi,

I got a problem with the Flow button. If I want to create Input fields from a Flow button trigger as Text field everything works fine. When I want to have an Date input field, when I press the button and the input field opens I cannot use the date picker or enter a custom date value. Am I doing something wrong or is this bugged?

I suspect the problem is that Flow doesn't have a variable data type for storing a DateTime variable.  It stores Date Time values as a Timespan string.  But here is what I was able to do.  I created an input variable of type string and passed it the selected date from a datepicker in PowerApps.

DateParameter.Run(DatePicker1.SelectedDate)

Then in Flow just to test it I used that String value as a TimeSpan in a compose and it worked fine.

addDays(variables('date'),3)

So you will need to pass the selected dateTime as a string, but once you do you should be able to use it as a TimeSpan in Flow.  Can you be more specific about the problem you are having?

This would be an alternative, but I would like to be able to just use the inputs.

But when I try to use them I can not input values, because the input field doesn't let me do so.

But I guess I just work with the PowerApps input then and convert the types.

Sorry, I misread your request and immediatly went to a PowerApps button.  I can verify that there seems to be a bug with using the datepicker in the Flow button.  Not sure why.  I will report it.

One additional follow-up on this.  Although it doesn't work in the designer, it does function normally in the actual mobile client.

I have tested on my side and I need to hold down the left mouse button to enter string.

Or you could copy the edited string directly to the input box.

ONe more follow-up.  This is a known issue with the designer.  A fix is currently being worked on.

Unless I'm missing a key step, the calendar control does not work on Android or iPhone. A plain-text box is shown for the date input when the button flow is invoked, but this is practically unusable for the purpose I want to use it for.  The expected behavior would be a calendar control, defaulted to the current date (or at least an option to set it that way).

I am still experiencing this issue on iPhone using the Power Automate app.  Anyone found a work around?
