Hi All,
If the value in my variable matches the value in column "department" then it should extract values from other columns (appover1, approver2, approver3) of same row. After extraction i want to use these values to send mail to these approvers.
Here is screen shot of the SharePoint list
@Hritikpatel317 So what's the challenge you are facing in it? After condition you can use get item action and store each column value in a compose or variable which you can utilize later in your email action.
Please 'Thumbs Up' the posts that helped you and 'Accept as Solution' if my post answered your question.
Hi @Hritikpatel317 !
I have 2 methods or ways to do this.
Method 1 (initialize a variable inside and then check condition):
You can follow this flow. I have used a trigger "When an item is created" so that this flow will get automatically triggered whenever someone enters the
Expressions used:
In Compose action (here known as Concatenate all emails)
concat(outputs('Get_item')?['body/approver1'],';',outputs('Get_item')?['body/approver2'],';',outputs('Get_item')?['body/approver3'])
Here I have specified the department in which it will get triggered only then send email.
In the condition, it will check if that SharePoint Department value matches the Department variable initialized in the flow. Use the output from your compose and put it in the To section of email.
Input:
Output:
Method 2 (use the trigger settings to only trigger this flow whenever an item is created to check the department column if it is equal to 'HR'):
Flow:
In the trigger I have done this so simulate this:
Trigger Expression:
@equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/Title'],'HR')
Expressions used:
In Compose action (here known as Concatenate all emails)
concat(outputs('Get_item')?['body/approver1'],';',outputs('Get_item')?['body/approver2'],';',outputs('Get_item')?['body/approver3'])
Use the output from your compose and put it in the To section of email.

I hope this helps.

Hi @NathanAlvares24 !
Thank you for your solution, and sorry that i didn't explain the question properly actually i use both sharepoint list and sharepoint document library where i want to fetch the function(HR and IT column) data from my sharepoint document library to sharepoint list department(HR and IT column) data. And i use filter array function but it didn't give me output. Output column shows blank bracket[] like this, so what should i do to get the output.
Thank you in advance....
here are the ss of the SharePoint list and SharePoint document library

Hi @Hritikpatel317 !
As seen from your response, the one marked in red is your SharePoint list. But the other one that is marked in green is not a SharePoint document library, its a SharePoint list.
So my questions are:
1) Are both pics part of the same SharePoint list?
2) If not 1st, is the one marked in red your first SharePoint list and the one marked in green is your second SharePoint list?
3) If not 1st or 2nd, is it from a SharePoint document library where it has an excel file and then you want to extract the rows from that?
Please note a SharePoint document Library is only where you see files stored. While a SharePoint list has columns of data.
Example what a SharePoint document Library looks like:
Example what a SharePoint list looks like:
Please specify correctly because I do not see a SharePoint document library pic in your response.
Please do correct and let me know. I will gladly assist.
