get attachment content and imbed into an email

Good Day All

Pardon me if I'm being daft here but I'm just not winning with a flow. 

I need to set up an automated flow that checks every day and sends out an email with a embedded imaged. 

I have created a list with every person who needs to get the email and added the attachment.

Thus, the flow needs to go and check for the attachment and take the image and add it to the mail as a embedded Image.

can anyone direct me to how I can get this done please..

Hi @PuristII808 ,

Find below steps for sending list attachments as images in outlook.

1- Get Attachments:

Provide the list name and id where it image is attached.

2- Initialize variable to store image url

3- Grab the absolute url, apply to each will come automatically

4- Send email :

provide variable as image attribute.

Thank you very much.

I am having trouble with a couple of the steps. 

1) I need to add a 'Get items' step before the 'Get attachment' otherwise I am unable to add the 'ID'

2) When I add the 'Get items' step, I am then able to add the ID,  but the step automatically goes into a 'Apply to each' loop

3) When I then add the 'variable step it does not 'see' the 'Get attachment' step, thus I cannot add the AbsoluteUrl content

am I missing something?

Hey Mate,

I propose a minor change -i.e. use "Get Attachment Content" and use Composer with Formula below -

<img src="@{dataUri(outputs('Get_attachment_content')?['body'])}" />

am I missing something or my flow just completely broken lol

Id is the output of the "Get Attachments action".

Hi Vivek.. 

It seems that I am getting somewhere yes thank you.. I am getting the email as expected now.. 
but it doesnt seem like the Apply to each is not working properly.. I get the email for the 2nd person ( when there are more than Bday on he day) but the 2nd email just a blank place holder in the email

Is attachment available for 2nd birthday? 

Try analysing the instance output and see what is the issue. 

Rest logic seems to be ok.

Apologies for only replying now.. I came down with some flu and was man down for 2 days.. 
to answer your question. 

the 2nd attachment is available and if I check in the steps the flow is picking up different attachments for different list entries, just when the email gets sent instead of the image there is just a placeholder

I scrapped my flow and started from fresh and all seems to be working as expected.
