Yes, your trial environment is only valid for 30 days - But you can create a new environment after it expires to get another 30-day trial. Just ensure you export your power platform created apps.

• Trial (standard): This is the type of trial environment that companies can use to allow users and department managers to try new features and quickly build low-code and no-code applications and processes. Organization (tenant) admins can enable all users to create trials, or only tenant admins. If allowed for users, any user from that organization who has a suitable can create a 30-day trial environment. After 30 days, the environment is disabled and deleted.

Yes. I am using Power Platform (Default) environment and AI Builder (Trial) but to test my app on device (Mobile / Tablet) I need to go for Power Platform Subscription Plan.

Not sure if you got an answer but for the challenge, I believe you should be fine with a Developer Environment and as long as you do not "publish" to production, it will work for you.  Unless specifically blocked by an organization, every user can have up to three developer environments which allows for simulating Application Lifecycle Management (DevOps) but for the challenge, unless THAT process is part of what you want to show a solution for, it should not be needed.  There is also a way to get your own "developer tenant" which comes with 25 E5 M365 users and lots of power to make developer environments for each of them (just no production environment without a trial or pay)   ... have an email?  Go here and you will have the full powers of the battlestation ready for you, sir 😉 Developer Program | Microsoft 365 Dev Center

Ralph Rivas, recent Biz Apps MVP and Solutions Architect at Sogeti, a part of Capgemini, User group Co leader for the Chicago Power Platform User group and Podcaster at https://youtube.com/@cloudtalkshow where of late Power Platform and AI topics keep coming up for some reason (hmmmm, so mysterious!) At the very least I am encouraging folks I know to participate and do what I can to enable folks to help (within the company I have resources but I also point to the freebie and not freeloader resources anyone in the community can get ;-))  Basically saying that ANYONE can participate even if they thing their organization is "holding them back" 😉   ... Spoiler, yes I have been playing with all the features as part of my job and as that role AND an MVP I sort of know whats coming and cant talk about Bruno ... But there is something I hope more of us can play with together and that is PVA (all the way!) which now has EXACTLY the powers to be a first class member of the Power Family thanks to Skynet er ah Open AI stuff (look around for the videos) ... There is Soooooo much to play with here and I am looking forward to the creativity of the group much like I do when I used to frequent the Improv Comedy clubs here in Chicago 😉  Lets Enjoy the freebies! 🙂
