@msai , what is the problem? Dataverse is the best data source for Power Apps so I don't see an issue with these 20 000 items. Please give specific commands that are not working or what is your exact problem.

@msai A few things to consider:

1. How many and what columns and relationships do you have on the table?

2. Are there any further opportunities to make the data model more efficient and performant (eg. by removing redundant/repeated columns, making queries more efficient, further normalising the data structures, etc)?

3. What behaviour have you configured the relationships on the table?

4. Are there any (old) records that could potentially be deleted/archived from the table, or moved to other storage? 5. Have you considered adding some keys to the table to improve performance?

6. Do you have any automations running on the table?

Hi Ahmed,

canvas App.

Hi @msai ,

Please consider the below options in your canvas app when working with large volume of data,

  1. Implement caching strategies to reduce the number of requests to the data source. You can use variables or collections to store data temporarily and minimize calls to the server.
  2. Galleries are more efficient in handling large datasets and can be easily customized to display data in various formats.
  3. Consider using load-on-demand mechanisms. For instance, you can initially load only a portion of the data and load more as the user scrolls or interacts with the app.
  4. Ensure that your data source has appropriate indexes set up for the fields used in filtering and sorting. Indexing can significantly improve query performance.

Hello, @msai, short answer, is to utilize your Dataverse views in your galleries where you are showing the Data. You can create custom views to show required data sets based on specific criteria. Don't overuse collections. Don't overuse functions like Lookup, Filter, and Search. Also, when you are doing bulk update, avoid ForAll function and use collection with UpdateIf function then patch thew whole collection. Note, UpdateIf and RemoveIF now experimentally supporting delegation to Dataverse.
