CoE App could not be deleted for you

I've setup and configured CoE and it's been running for a month now. Users have been through the approval flows to remove inactive apps and after three weeks the apps are scheduled for deletion. The owners and I have recieved emails today saying App could not be deleted for you: "AppName"

However it cannot be deleted for you automatically and will need to be cleaned up and deleted manually.
This can happen for a variety of reasons including it being part of a solution or having dependencies.
Here is the error message received from an attempt to delete automatically.
App can only be deleted by uninstalling the managed solution(s) containing the app.

Hello @mdlister,

Apps can be part of a solution, which allows you to move apps more easily across Power Platform environments.

In your case, the apps that should be deleted seem to decide in solutions. To remove the app, you will have to remove the complete solution.

If the app is part of a managed solution, someone installed it on purpose, so you might want to double-check what the solution does before you actually delete it. Flows, tables, etc. can also be part of a solution.

If you want to delete the solution, I would suggest this approach:

1. Open the Power Platform Admin View (PPAV) app
2. In the PPAV app, navigate to "Monitor" --> "PowerApps Apps" in the menu on the left:
   
3. In the list of apps, identify the app you want to delete, and open it. Note the environment the app is located in:
   
4. In the app details screen, under the business process flow, click on "Related" --> "Power Platform Solutions"
5. This will list the solution your app is part of:
   
6. Go to https://make.powerapps.com/
7. In the environment dropdown on the top right, select the environment you noted earlier:
   
8. In the menu on the left, navigate to "Solutions":
   
9. Search for the solution your app is part of:
   
10. Click on the ellipsis (...) and click on "Delete":

Thanks, these are Teams Environments so i'm not sure if that makes a difference? 
I can see the App, environment but no solution when i check

from the environment view, and resources, i see the app listed but no solutions either. 

As i am not a member of the team i don't see the environment within PowerApps to switch too and delete the solution so instead I have been going to the admin portal > Environments > Select the right one and Resources and delete the app from there

Hello @mdlister,

I just checked this, and I can confirm that apps are not associated with solutions in CoE if they are installed in Dataverse for Teams environments.

Still, the proper way to uninstall the app would be to delete the solution from the Teams environment. If you can get access to the Teams team, you can view solutions in Dataverse for Teams environments by going through the Power Automate page:

Go to https://make.powerautomate.com/, change to your Teams environment in the dropdown, and navigate to solutions.
