Import of Solution in Power Apps fails

Hello, it's the 1st time that we can not import a solution with a Canvas App from our DEV into our TEST environment. It run well all the time.

Now the import stops with the following message: CanvasApp import: FAILURE: The entity with a name = 'CanvasApp' with namemapping = 'Logical' was not found in the MetadataCache. MetadataCacheDetails: ProviderType=Dynamic, StandardCache=False, IsLoadedInStagedContext = True, Timestamp=19613909, MinActiveRowVersion=19613909

 

Can anybody help please?

Check if you have selected the right environment name.

In the DEV Environment, I did Solution Export of a solution named Test. (image1). The solution contains only one part, a mini Canvas App named Test as well. I tried it with another solution with our real Canvas App before, same error, so it seems to happen for every App... Solution Export to zip file as usual. We work with unmanaged solutions.

 

Then I changed to our TEST environment, which has the same structure as the DEV and tried to import the solution zip file. The import interrupts with quite a strange message (since the zip file is not too large.) see image 2

 

I opened the import log xml file and this is the error message: CanvasApp import: FAILURE: The entity with a name = 'CanvasApp' with namemapping = 'Logical' was not found in the MetadataCache. MetadataCacheDetails: ProviderType=Dynamic, StandardCache=False, IsLoadedInStagedContext = True, Timestamp=19670164, MinActiveRowVersion=19670164

same error (error 80040375 (ImportFileTooLargeToUpload); but in log file error: 'CanvasApp' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'cdsdependencies' and NameMapping = 'Platform') since yesterday on our side.
 
There is no more possibility to import solution packages into DEV environment, which were exported actually or 2 months ago.
Also partly exports of solutions are no more possible.

Hello together,

a few days ago I contacted the Support from Microsoft, they are investigating and investigating... no idea how long this will take.  But it really seems to be a bug that came with the latest version of PowerApps.

I'll keep you up to date....

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. The issue preventing solution import, when a canvas app is included in the solution, has a fix that is expected to be available worldwide next Monday, 9/2.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Users must provide a solution which can be an “Accepted Solution” in the Forums in all of the communities and there are no limits to the number of “Accepted Solutions” that a member can provide for entries in this challenge, but each entry must be substantially unique and different.    Winner Selection and Prizes: At the end of each week, we will list the top ten (10) Community users which will consist of: 5 Community Members & 5 Super Users and they will advance to the final drawing. We will post each week in the News & Announcements the top 10 Solution providers.  At the end of the challenge, we will add all of the top 10 weekly names and enter them into a random drawing.  Then we will randomly select ten (10) winners (5 Community Members & 5 Super Users) from among all eligible entrants received across all weekly Entry Periods to receive the prize listed below. If a winner declines, we will draw again at random for the next winner.  A user will only be able to win once overall.
