Publishing Canvas App on AppSource

Hello Experts,

I have developed a canvas app that is basically a personal utility app (using Dataverse ) that I want to publish on AppSource so others can purchase it. The process how to publish it on AppSource is practically mission impossible, or at least not economically viable - not being a professional developer and app is more a  side product, but has nice personal utility value. Even though it uses Dataverse tables, hence a premium connection is needed, it can also and be used inside personal environment (w/o additional PowerApps license).

Is there any way (i.e., anyone) that would - (1) as a service (against revenue sharing), (2) package the managed Solution into a publishable package, (3) including licensing and (4) publish it on AppSource? Asking too much or (interest for) something like that exists?!

Any feed-back will be much appreciated.

I get what you're going for here, but you should understand that once an app is published under a Partner account, that partner account is the sole owner of the app as far as Microsoft is concerned. You would have no rights to manage it, monitor usage or licensing, or reclaim it if your relationship with such a partner fell through. I am sure you can find someone who is willing to publish your app for you and monetize it (the effort is not as bad once you are set up as an ISV) but you'd better feel very confident they are the right partner for you and that your relationship with them will be stable for the long haul.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with your thoughts on this and I can accept it - better that than having nothing on.

Can you confirm or clarify otherwise following - but if I provide them (of course with some kind of agreement behind clarifying parties positions, i.e., written - w/ conditions and limitations on using a solution, brand name, etc.) only a managed solution to finalize it into a marketable package, the potentially "non-loyal" partner can't do anything with an app, can't access the inner-guts of the app; i.e., only a working version of a solution is available to the partner?! I can still go on with an app development on my own, even trying w/ someone else?!

"can't access the inner-guts of the app", trust me, if you have a managed solution (that is not using cloud services) you can do most of the things

Hmmm?! Understand. So additional thing to think of 🙄?!

But that goes then for all apps on the AppSource, doesn't it?! Or is final package more protected than managed solution package?
