Hello All,

Helping out tech community,

Issue ? Create Dictionary Object using JSON file in Power Automate Desktop

Here below the solution,

Step 1 : Create a .json file like below,

Step 2 : Use "Read from text file" action and locate .json file (Make sure Store content as : Single Text Value)

Step 3 : Use "Convert JSON to Custom Object" action

Step 4 : Then that's it call variable like below,

I messed around using Excel as a config file, storing variables etc. , got very messy 😂

Do the vars in the text file ever get written to the PAD variable pane ?

So to add / delete / edit a var, edit in the text file ?

for the questions,

• Variable initialization not required in PAD variable pane (directly call with %SomeVar['SomeKeyInJsonFile']%)
• Yes all variables will be initialized from .json file

Didnt realise I had to escape the below filepath ?

"C:\\Users\\michael\\OneDrive\\Power Automate Global\\AAA Json Config File"

Just a quick tip for anyone else.

What I done to prevent having to insert 2 double slash's to a file path(s).

Replace text " \ " , replace with " \\ ".

\r Carriage return

Where are yous findings this opeions read from text file. I am using power automate . Is it in same or different. I have the nearly same requirement, but not getting options like this post.

I want to create & use this feature in automated cloud flow.

Please help
