How to make message box larger?

I have the free version of PAD v2.43.217 on Windows 10 Pro. This is the desktop version, not the online version.

When I do a "Display message" action I have a bit more text in there and the window stays small and shows the text with a vertical scroll bar. How can I resize the message box window to show all text without any scroll bar automatically?

This could be a useful program.

Thank you!

Recreate your custom form like below:

Add four text blocks like below and add your parameter for each block as directed in the arrow mark for four blocks. You no need to add any line break for this.

Hi @crob ,

In Power Automate Desktop, the size of the “Display message” box is not directly adjustable. The box size is determined by the application and it automatically provides a scroll bar when the text exceeds the default box size.

You can try these below one:

Custom Form Designer: If the message box doesn’t look good, you can use the “Custom Form Designer” to create a custom form that fits your needs. This method allows you to design a form that can display your message in the way you want

Hi @crob ,

Kindly use the Adaptive card in Power Automate Desktop if you need to customize the display message. use action 'Display custom form' to create the display message accordingly. You can create custom designer model to preview.

As other mentioned if you want customized display message box, you can use "Display custom form".

1. First search "Display custom form" in action panel and drag/drop into workspace. Then click on the custom form designer

2. Then it will display a designer form like the one below, where you can design your forms with the required controls.

Assuming you have some lengthy text stored in a variable called varDisplayText and you want to display that message in a message box. Here, I have included a text block and a submit button in the custom designer.

For the text block, as highlighted in blue, configure your variable name(varDisplayText) in Text parameter and set the height to Stretch, then check the wrap option.

3. If you prefer to maintain a minimum height for your message box, simply click on the white area below the submit button. This will reveal the settings for the form, allowing you to adjust the height in pixels. For instance, I have set it to 400 pixels, and you will see the same reflected in the preview form.

Then click done and save the custom form and run you will get form like below:

I'm doing a PAD tutorial.

To use the custom form I have to set a variable with multiple lines of text but PAD will not recognize \n or decodeUriComponent('%0d%0a') as a carriage return line feed.

My set variable text looks like this:

Suitcase1: %suitcase1cropped% + decodeUriComponent('%0d%0a')
Suitcase2: %suitcase2cropped% + decodeUriComponent('%0d%0a')
Max weight: %maxweightcropped% + decodeUriComponent('%0d%0a')
Your total weight: %totalweight% + decodeUriComponent('%0d%0a')

and I have tried several variations of this including removing the "+" sign. I have also tried this originally. This variant runs all text together on one line.

Suitcase1: %suitcase1cropped%
Suitcase2: %suitcase2cropped%
Max weight: %maxweightcropped%
Your total weight: %totalweight%

How do I add a CRLF to a variable to separate lines of my message?

@crob

How is your custom form looks like? Screenshot pls?

I have 2 custom forms depending on if the luggage is too heavy, or ok. This is one of the forms.
