How to select and copy the cell in Excel in the same row, the next cell, then use the cell value to find the file with that name in a folder, to copy the file and paste in WhatsApp.

The flow successfully

1. opens WhatsApp Web,

2. opens a folder with the files (bills in pdf) I want to send via WhatsApp, and

3. opens an Excel file that is read sequentially. In that Excel are two columns:

Name range A has the Contact number

Name range B has the file name (of the bill in pdf)

Using the contact number (A) the flow search, find, and open the WhatsApp contact.

test this, I successfully sent the same text "Hello World" to each contact number in A.

I would like to use the value in A, select and copy the value in B next to A then find and copy the file from the folder (in 2) and paste that into WhatsApp and send it

This is my first flow, so I acknowledge I might struggle with the obvious

I would appreciate some help with this

Regards
Frits

@UshaJyothi20 ,

I tried many different things but I just do not understand your instructions.

Attached is a doc with the steps I could take - you will see where I got stuck (#3)

Can you please elaborate on the instructions so I can understand it / or paste screens in the doc and upload the doc?

Sorry for me not getting what you explain

Please copy paste the flow in designing panel.

please change file path and URLs as required

Hope this helps

Usha

@UshaJyothi20 ,

Can I check with you, as it seems like I am using something different from what you have:-

I am using Power Automate Desktop

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/console?WT.mc_id=powerautomate_inprod...

and

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/pad-first-steps/?source=recommendations

In this video, it appears I should be using Flow Online to import.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7k9Vx4o9L4&ab_channel=BlackbaudSKYDeveloper

I have a Microsoft 365 version, not the school/work version

On my desktop version, there is no "import flow option"

If I go through the Microsoft online route, Microsoft web lets me know I must create a new environment, which I cannot do as I need a work or school account.

Seriously - Microsoft??? Really want to make it too hard for a single person to learn the products!

I have send you text document

Copy tha text document and paste it in the designer panel of PAD

Open new flow and copy the text in designer panel

I checked here in the chat for the file, my email, WhatsApp, Power Automate:- I cannot find a text file sent to me

Where to, have you sent the text document?

I have sent you in this conversation please check full conversation it is named as pad flow text document

Hi Usha,

Thanks I managed to solve it
