Split text with "NewLine" Delimeter

Hi All,

I am trying to split the below text. but I am not getting the exact output. I am not sure is it because of the file extension. Please help.

Ex:

Employee Details Report
Employee name:Sam     Age:44
Designation:Manager Company:xyz
City:Bangalore     State:Karnataka
Country:India

Emplyee name:Joseph   Age:33
Designation:Salesperson   Company:xyz
City:Chennai
Country:India

I wonder why Textlist output is coming like this.

Are you sure your files text is actually on different lines and not just one line? It looks like there is just one line since Split text gives you only one list item.
Is you FileContents variable looking like this when you have extracted the text from a file? (don't mind the questionmark characters).

Thanks for your response. I think I am facing this issue because of the file extension type. But I am not sure. I am using.TAT and.ebt types of extension files. My fileContents output is like this.

I don't believe your file extension is causing any issues here. I've successfully created a similar file with the extension .TAT and when using the "Read text from file" action, it works perfectly.

Additionally, you don't need to split your file content. Instead, when reading text from the file, you can store the content as a list (each item being a list item), which will achieve the same outcome for you.

Hi @Deenuji ,

Thank you for your response. The .TAT file which I am using for automation is having this problem. If I copy the file content and paste it a notepad then it is working fine. But for me "Read text from file" action output is coming like this.

I need to pause this "file contents" output data into a List for further steps. But got stuck here.
