I have a flow that opens a web page, selects a series of dropdowns and buttons, and then acquires data by downloading .csv files.
A couple of weeks ago, I was covering the receptionist at her desk and she was out for over a week due to a death in the family. I added PAD down there, but found my flow from my computer didn't seem to work on hers. So I tried recording the steps.
I noticed the new recorder didn't seem capable of latching on to the correct spots on the screen. Notably, on some of the dropdowns, it seemed to latch onto an option that was about a half-inch below the one my cursor was on. I ended up recording several times before I could get it to choose the top option ("All"). Overall, I couldn't get it to work at all.
Since I know the software updates often, is it that Web Recorder has changed in that way, or was there something with the settings on that computer, that monitor, that was giving me the problem? I was using Edge in both cases, though I did go back and try Chrome to see if it worked better -- it didn't.

I've had a couple of VMs that have had an issue where the mouse that is visible on screen is actually completely off to where it actually is, can you first check that its not the mouse but PAD? Also, what kind of errors are you getting for to it to not work? would make it easier to provide you with a solution.

Thank you. Sorry, I was on vacation last week and didn't see your reply. It wasn't that I was getting errors per se, it's just that the recorder was selecting an item that was maybe 1/2" below where I was clicking to select. Even when I tried to compensate for this by clicking above, in one case where I needed to select the top box "all" I needed to click around the area that I marked in pink in the uploaded screenshot. The dropdown below it, obscured in this picture, didn't have checkboxes, but after multiple tries I wasn't able to get it to select any of the items on it.
I just installed another update - it's been at least one or two since I had the problem. I don't know whether that made a difference, but I just recorded a new fragment and it was able to select the right item. Maybe something was off that got corrected.

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge! This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks. The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities. Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”) - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024 Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods. You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately. How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
