Write Excel doesn't work through cloud flows

Hi,

I have a flow that loops through an Excel sheet and reads and writes data from rows based on a variable LoopInt.

When the flow is executed in PAD, it executes without any issue. When the same flow is executed from a cloud flow that executes the desktop flow, the rows are not incremented, so all values are written to the same row.

Is this a known issue with the cloud flows? I don't see any explanation why it works fine in PAD, but not when called in a cloud flow.

This is the same for attended and unattended.

Could you please try to check/debug it, by keeping a counter variable. Therefore, while running it unattended you can view the count in that variable.

Hi, I have a counter for the row variable. How can I view the value of this variable while running unattended?

Edit: I found the steps in the unattended flow where the variable is increased. The input values are:

The output is empty

The step is executed correctly, but doesn't seem to increase the variable value, as the input value is 2 throughout the entire flow. Any ideas why this could be?

I just did another test with my PAD flow in the desktop app. The flow works fine and the DatabaseLoopInt increases correctly every loop. Only through (both atttended and unattended) cloud flows it stops working.

Could you please replicate below in your script and check if your variable is getting incremented:

@vincentnoot  Seems like there is something wrong when your PAD script is getting called from cloud in your original script. May be some variable is not getting set or there could be something to do with active cell in excel where the data is getting written. Try using get active cell and see if it solves your purpose.

So I just got off the phone with Microsoft support. Turns out my version was from January. If anyone else is experiencing this issue: Check for updates button did not work properly 

Manually downloading and installing the latest version solved the issue.

Still, it's interesting that this issue exists at all. I believe support is going to research where the problem stems from.
