Flow Mobile App failing to start a few times before it finally goes

The other day I heard the story of a father and son whatching a '70s movie where someone desperately tried to get a car to start to escape some monster or something, finally getting it started just in time. The son asked the father why didn't the car start imediatly? (for those of you not around back then, cars used to have problems to kickstart, specially after a cold night).

Flow reminds me of 70's cars. I have to turn the key, metaphorically holding it for a minute while the motor visibily tries to start and then it fails. Repeat a few times - last five time - and it is finally up and running. Initially I thought this happened when I added flows, and it was somehow downloading or updating flows, but today I haven't add ot touch any flows anf it repeated the '70s car routine.

 

Any ideas? ... by the way no problems with the connection..

Hi @nsgma,

 

By "Start", did you mean that how often the trigger fires? If this is the situation, flow checks for trigger with different frequency according to your plan. For detailed information, please check here:

Thank you for your reply.

By start I mean start the application app. nothing to do with triggers or plans. Simply clicking the Application app icon and waiting for it to open - sometimes for a minute or two, and then it does not open and returns to the start screen. do it again and and again and sometimes it opens, then it works okeyish (see other posts). But the ability to start the app I would expect would be a priority in the development.

PS. I have a Office 365 Business Premium plan, a good Wifi connections and in the last ten minutes I tried to open/start the mobile application three times and still no success.

 

UPDATE: after 20 minutes from posting the original message I am still trying to open the app (and failing). I have tried at least 5 fimes since I cannot be watching my phone's screen with the Flow logo until it returns to the start screen.

@nsgma Are you using the Flow mobile app on iOs or Android? @Adi, can you add the Flow mobile on calls to investigate?

As far as I am aware there has not been an update of the app.

In any case, I have tried to open the app once and after more than a minute or two with a white screen with the flow logo, it simply returned to my phone's start screen.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
