I have tried all the solutions on this topic. Even tried chat gpt.
When creating a flow I have tried it with powerapp (V2) as a trigger. I tried the instant way. I even tried when a row is added modified or deleted. I then connect my gmail to it.
What I am not able to do is connect it to my canvas app. Can someone help with this step?
Thank you

Hi @jarbelaez ,
So it seems the flow is actually connected to the app, but it seems you don't know how to trigger it using a PowerFX formula, right? By that I mean the formula to add to the OnSelect property of the "Foster !" button.
To trigger flows from a Power Apps canvas app, you need reference them, then select their Run property and then pass any parameters. In your case the formula could look something like this:
gmailemaildata.Run(
//This parameter is the mail message
"Congratulations on fostering your animal!",
//This parameter is the To recipient of the email
DataCardValueX.Selected.Email
)
DataCardValueX is referring to combobox control in the 'Foster Claimer' datacard so you'll need to replace X with a number to make it correspond with the actual name of the combobox control.
Hi @jarbelaez ,
In this documentation (and video) you can get a Power Automate flow to trigger from a Power Apps canvas app: Create a canvas app that can trigger a Power Automate flow (contains video) - Power Apps | Microsoft...
In case you run into any issues, please share a screenshot of the flow and what you are doing to try and connect to it from Power Apps.
Hello,
I have followed the video and watched it multiple times incase I missed a step. I am guessing the video is an older version since I don't have the action button like they did. But I was able to create a flow and add it to my powerapps. But unlike the video I can't add it to the button.
I then tried the written instructions below. They use the click a button in power app to send an email. I couldn't do that way because I was never able to connect outlook, even when using my own outlook email.

Thank you very much this solved my problem!
