Power Automate choice fields displaying numbers

The choice fields in the body of my email, Animal Type and Sex are displaying their number equivalents.

I have applied Co-pilot's suggestion but it broke the entire code.

Has anyone encountered this? I need help pls

Thanks!

Hi @Corry

thanks a lot for your very helpful posts here.

one question, how did you make that the values of the "claimed foster" as well as the "initial shelter" (lookup fields) appear with name? In my case, only the logical name is shown in the email. see here:

how can I change this?

thanks a lot for your help!

Hi @elyne,

You may wish to check the dynamic content you are using for those particular fields as it is showing the GUID’s.

Would you be able to share an image of how your email body is constructed and the dynamic content you are using?

Hi @Corry , many thanks for your help!

here the screenshots. If I integrate the dataverse placeholders listed when looking for ex. "foster-claimer" I only get "foster claimer value" or "foster claimer type" but none of them is working.

Hi @elyne,

I personally didn't build my Power Automate flow to include 'Lookup' data types. I applied my solution to 1 singular choice column, 'Animal Type', just as you have. If you wanted to include additional choice column options in the email body, I am assuming you would have to create another variable for each additional.

I am not too sure how to handle Look ups in this context so maybe a little research is needed if you wish to use them.

Here is a screen shot of an animal record in my Model-driven app to give you an idea on how my forms are structured. I have outlined in red the columns I am bringing into my Outlook email.

My advice is to achieve what the requirements ask for, anything above this is a great learning experience but from experience, you want plenty of time to complete everything in the challenge and go back through and make adjustments where needed.

I hope this is helpful.
