Are you sure that your Foster Claimer column (in the Animals table) is a lookup column to the Foster table?
From your photos of the available dynamic content, it seems like the data type is text. This might be why your input on the flow status was "FH-035", because it just got the text value from the record - it didn't get the data from the Foster table.
The lookup columns should have several options in the dynamic content, like in my photo where there is Value and Type. When you choose Foster Claimer (Value) it will get the GUID.

To get the information from the related Foster table, you need to first use "Get a row by ID" on the Animals table, like on the School Library demonstration in the course (first Loans and then Students, if I remember correctly). Use the dynamic variable with the same name as the table - that contains the unique value of the row that triggered the flow.
Then you can use the variable FosterClaimer (value) from the Animals table as RowID on the "Get a row by ID" on the Foster table. After that all of the columns from the Foster table should be available as dynamic content, including the email.

I see you are trying to use the 'Animal ID' column to select a record, but that's not the right column to use. Instead, try using the 'Animal information' column.
This is similar to what @StineN posted although in her case the table and column are named slightly different, but still match between them:

The Row ID field should be a GUID, while in your photo it says "FH-035" instead of the unique text string that is automatically created for the record.
Here's my flow, where you can see that the input on Row ID is this GUID, from the FosterClaimer column:
In the dynamic content, I chose the one with "value" to get the GUID:
