List rows present in a table - Excel

Hi!

I'm having a issue regarding the limitations of the Excel Connector of List rows present in a table.

I've read, that there is a certain limitations of rows, around 256 rows by default, but if we want to retrieve more or all, we need to turn on the pagination. 

In several forums, i've read that there is a known limitations of 5000 rows for sharepoint list, but this is applied also to this connector?

Right now, i have a database that contains more than 4000 rows, and i don't know if the power automate flows that i've created to read those lines, when overpass the 5000, will be working incorrectly.

Someone knows the limits of how many rows can read this connector?

If i've more than 5000, is there any problem?

Hi @edicsongarrillo ,

The default item limit is 100 and items are paginated by default as well.

If you are working with large lists, you can increase this limit up to the list view threshold limit of 5,000.

To specify the number of items to be returned, expand the Advanced options, and specify the number in the Top Count action property.

If you want To get more than 5000 items, you can turn on the Pagination feature. This is done from the action's settings:

Yes, the article only shows the limitations and workaround for sharepoint online list, not for the Excel Connector.

Does applies the same limitations?

Usually Power Automate provides a way for us to retrieve data from Excel. But the max limit of rows which we can retrieve is limited by default at 256. In order to increase this limit and retrieve more rows we can enable the pagination and then retrieve the next batch in Power Automate.

What if you need to go over 5000?

Just as a note, to read an unlimited number of rows from the excel file you can utilize a do until loop and the skip rows option (use a variable that is incremented by 256 each iteration)

Also useful to override the default retry behavior, as calling "get rows in table" repeatedly will likely result in HTTP 429 errors, and default behavior is to wait 5 minutes before retrying.  Lowering that to 5 seconds will help quite a bit while loading large files.

I am somehow limited to 249 lines and changing Pagination (in settings) and Top Count has no effect (despite the value for pagination being saved. I have peeked into the code too to confirm the value was being read.

Anyone able to give me any lead to debug that one?

Ultimately I would like to create over 10000 items from an Excel spreadsheet.
