Third random gateway issue this week! **URGENT**

This is the third gateway issue I have come across this week.  This one affects 100% of users.  This is brand new today, nothing has changed in the apps or flow.  I have had other gateway errors in PA this week as well.  This is the first one that appears to have affected a Flow.  It was working an hour ago, and no now NOT.

I tried running the app again (this flow is the initial data load, so the app is COMPLETELY unavailable until this is resolved!

 

Note... these two Get Items that are running in parallel, one is authorized, the other is not!?  This is obviously wrong.  They are the same list, and the same gateway.  How can one work and one NOT!??

Unfortunately the screenshots you provided don't really tell us anything. We either need to see the expanded steps, and/or the detailed error messages you are receiving. The Status Code 200 shown in your second screenshot is a standard HTTP request code, not an error code. A detailed snapshot of the Unauthorized steps would tell us far more.

As this is a local gateway connector the authentication issues likely lies on the system side, not the Flow side. If the authentication is failing, something on the system is probably causing it. You should look into the system logs and compare the timeframes when it is failing to see if there is a reason or correlation for it.

The authentication error you are receiving may be a failure to authenticate via Active Directory, and those authentication errors can be caused by many things. Including timeout, stale tokens, bad replication, token bloat, site topology, DNS errors and more - it is up to your environment variables.  

You could also try re-installing the gateway on the system, and re-authenticating the connection to Flow. DataGateways.png

One thing that could also be an issue, is a UAC or security prompt for the folder - so if you get a UAC prompt when you manipulate the files in that folder, that would likely cause the Flow delete to fail as well. UAC is usually on by default for manipulation of root and system folders.

Another thing to check, especially if you are using multiple credentials or multiple sites, is to verify you are using the correct account under the My connections popup on each and every step (as seen by the green box below): 

CopyFileThenDeleteFile.pngFinally, I'd fully verify that your environment meets all of the requirements for the Data Gateway Connector, specifically I'd review the required ports, installation and configuration documentation, and the on-premise Data Gateway Connector in-depth documentation.

To me this looks like a either a firewall/port/routing issue, or a permissions issue. An intermittent issue has me leading more to a firewall, port or routing issue - especially if you are in the enterprise. Sometimes security and network teams make changes that may break services like Flow.

The issue cannot be found in edit mode.  Everything is all good.  Connections are happy, and no issue.  The issue with running the flow.  Its not consistent.  Sometimes, all of the GetItem actions work, the next only one works, the next both fail.  I had to create a ticket for this one.  This flow has NO inputs, so its not that either.  Its simply gathering up data to use in a collection.  This flow was running great for weeks without any errors.  Something out of my control has obviously changed.

Starting on 2019-04-30 10:00:00 AM some flows using SharePoint online connector started failing with the "Unauthorized" error code. The technical team are working to investigate and fix the issue. I'm sorry you have such experience.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!    This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
