Microsoft Flow built and working but in the Run History, the action is still running. How can I fix this?

Hi there,

I wonder if you can help me out with this one. I built a Microsoft Approvals Flow so that when a file is approved, the file is removed from one Microsoft Teams Folder called "Pre-Approved" and is then put into the "Approved" folder.

 built the following part of my flow so that the original file deposited in the "Pre-Approved" folder is deleted. This works with the flow I built however in the Run History for this flow, it still hasn´t succeeded i.e. it is still running. Please see my flow below.

My question really is, if the flow is working, why is it not succeeding? What can I do to get it to succeed because I don´t want to have lots of runs and they are all still running in the background. I tried adding in the "succeed" action after "mover el archivo" here and it worked but I really don´t want to have to do this to be honest...

It could be because of the wait for the approval action. It won't finish until the user has approved it or rejected it.

Thanks for your response. I don´t think it is this. Can you check the whole of my flow? The double approval is before I ask it to move the file from Pre-Approved to Approved and then to delete from the Pre-Approved folder. I have a double approval in it:

Correct. When i run the flow it deletes the file from the "pre-approved" folder but when i go into the power automate tool, the "When a file is created or modified" just keeps running minute after minute and none of the following parts of the flow run... they are blacked out as shown in the following screenshot:

I haven't found anything groundbreaking, but I'd like to ask you if you have the MS Teams folder open when the file is being created or modified. If you do, could you please try closing it and see if the flow continues normally. 

I also read that some users fixed this by exporting the flow (recreating the connections), let me know if this helps! Cheers!

The flow is waiting for the trigger event "When a file is created or modified" to occur - but this isn't happening, so the flow is waiting here until the trigger event occurs:

When a file is created or modified in a folder : "Triggers when a file is created, and also each time it is modified in a SharePoint folder. The trigger does not fire if a file is added/updated in a subfolder. "

A a test, you can write a new flow starting with the trigger When a file is created or modified in a folder , then manually create files as you would expect them to be created by your main flow, then see if the trigger event occurs or not:

This is the way I did the "move file" action:

I have set the "When a File is Created" in the "Approved" folder so it should recognise that a file is being moved there no? I think this might be where it is failing because it´s not really being "created" it´s been "moved" to a subfolder.

Good news! I have managed to sort it myself. Basically the action "When a file is created or modified" is not needed. Upon deleting this action, the flow worked fine! It successfully deleted the file from the "Pre-Approved" folder.
