Power Automate - Permissions for Project Online site and Project files

I’m trying to create a Power Automate flow that will do the following:

1. Create a project in Project Online. The name of the project is based on a form submitted by the requestor (say, ProjectX).
2. Create a group (ProjectX_Owners) and assign it to the SharePoint site created for ProjectX.
3. Assign Full Control permissions to the group ProjectX_Owners.
4. Add users to the Project X_Owners group.

The flow is successful in that it does the following:

• Creates the project schedule and site (ProjectX)
• Creates the ProjectX_Owners group, which is granted Full Control permissions and assigns it to the site
• Adds users to the ProjectX_Owners group

Users in the ProjectX_Owners group can access the SharePoint site and all of its contents, but CANNOT open the actual Project schedule file - either from Project Center or the project SharePoint site.

Here’s how I’m doing this:

1. Create the project. The string variable NewProjectName contains the name of the project.
2. Initialize (not shown) and set a string variable (Project_URL2) that contains the full path of the project URL, using this expression: concat('https://microsoft.sharepoint.com/teams/XXXXX/',variables('NewProjectName'))

3. Break inheritances from the root site:

4. Get the group ID for the new group. The name of the group is contained in the string OwnerGroupName. The group ID is stored as an integer variable, Onwer_Group_ID (yes, it's a typo):

5. Assign Full control permissions to the group specified in the Onwer_Group_ID variable:

6. Finally, add users to the new group. The list of users is provided in the array ProdTeamList which contain the users' email addresses:

These instructions create the project site and Project schedule, but only the site is accessible to the members of the OwnerGroupName group. What do I need to do to make the Project file accessible as well?

Hi @vedd ,

I've been googling for information on a similar requirement. From what I've read, you should also assign permissions in the Project Online mode, but I haven't been successful in finding the necessary API to accomplish that task. If you have achieved it, please post it, it will help me a lot.
